Tatou le matou employs methods of teaching French as a foreign language to young children.

Content of Each Module

Module 1 and 4 are for learning while Module 2 and 4 are for reinforcement. There are 5 units in Module 1 and 4 units in Module 3.
These units are made up of 4 pages:

• A double illustrated page presenting the situation with an opening sentence which the audio recording continues.
• A poem or a song with illustrations.
• A page index before every module

Module 2 and 4 comprise 4 double illustrated pages corresponding to two tales.

• Uses a very oral approach but also with an inclination to writing.

• A student textbook in four colors
• An Exercise Book with activities on oral and written skills and complementary activities adapted to situations of intensive teaching.
• An Audio CD for the student to listen to songs and tales.
• A portfolio for evaluation, downloadable on the internet
